Tea Time Notebook

Hello fellow crafters! Today I have a little mid-inspiration for you from our challenge over at Kitty Bee Designs blog.  This challenge is all about color and there's still time  to join! Our sponsors for this challenge are the fabulous All Dressed Up and A Day for Daisies.

I've chosen All Dressed Up's "Summer Fayre" She's adorable all set up for her party, which for some reason just makes me think of tea party's. I haven't made a notebook in awhile and figured this image would be perfect for one.

So let's get started before time runs out! Below are the colors for this challenge, and while you don't have to incorporate all the colors for this challenge remember that you need to use atleast 2!

Materials used:

All Dressed Up - Summer Fayre
Simon Says Stamps - Sketch Ranunculus (background paper)
Zig Clean Color Real Brush
MFT Die-namics - Traditional tags
MFT Die-namics - Stitched sentiment strips
Chipboard
Washi tape
Wild Orchid Crafts - various flowers
We R Memory Keepers - cinch it wire
white feathers
metal charm
Distress Inks - Spiced marmalade, picked raspberry

I used zig clean color real brush to color this image and distress inks to stamp my flowers to create that patterned background paper.  I hope you like my project and that I was able to inspire you to create something.

Two or more patterned papers

Hello crafty friends! Today's challenge over at Star Stampz has us using two or more patterned papers. Unfortunately this will be my last post as a DT member over at Star Stampz.  I'm in the process of selling my home and a part of that process is to declutter. So I'll sadly be without my crafting things for probably several months!  I'll be missing some of my favorite things to use, like my big shot and copic markers! =(

Ok back to brighter things like this adorable pokemon image by Star Stampz "Gotta Catch 'Em All Pokemon". I decided to use this image and with my patterned papers create a scene.

Material used:

Star Stampz - Gotta Catch 'Em All Pokemon
My Favorite Things - Magical Dragons (front sentiment)
Simon Says Stamps - Birch Column
Spellbinders - Shapeabilities Art Deco Tags
Clearly Besotted - Fresh Grass Die
Tim Holtz Distress Ink - mowed lawn, salty ocean
Pretty Pink Posh - mini star confetti gold
Stickles - diamond

Copics used:

Hair - E35, YR24, YR21, Y06
Skin - E13, E11, E00, E000, R20
Eyes - BG49
Hat & Ball - R24, R29, R89, C3, C0
Clothes - R89, R29, R25, B29, B24, B21, B99, B97, B95

I've used 4 patterned papers including this grass, although it's a little hard to see. I distress inked the bottom up to give it an ombre look.

Finally I used foam tape on the front piece of grass to give it some dimension and have it appear as if she was catching something hiding in the grass.
