Yeti for Christmas?

Hello fellow crafters! Today I have started on making some Christmas cards, and have used some MFT stamps.  I just adore these Yetis and couldn't help but purchase them with all those cute sentiments that come with the stamps!

Materials used:

My Favorite Things - Beast Friends, Santa's elves
Pretty Pink Posh - Storybook 1 die
Ranger- enamel accents
Wow! - gold pearl, pastel glacier mint embossing powder
Ribbon
Dress it up - itty bitty snowflakes

Copics were used to color the yetis and Christmas tree.  While I usually list the color I've used I decided to keep todays post more on the simple side, but I'm curious to know if you prefer to see simple post or do you prefer to have all the colors listed?

I've used embossing powder on the sentiment and on the little snow on the sides.  The Christmas tree and little snow I have on the sides of the sentiment are from the MFT stamp Santa's Elves.

Finally I've turned this card into a cute little easel card.  I hope you've enjoyed this little project!

Penguin santa meets nightmare before christmas

Hello crafty friends! Today I have a Halloween/Christmas card. Let me start off by saying ever since I saw the new Tim Holtz Halloween stencil "twisted", I've had a "Nightmare before Christmas" on my mind and new I had to make a card inspired by this. So I went to work! I couldn't find the stencil in any of my local craft stores, and the cost of shipping to Hawaii for the stencil would've cost more then the stencil itself! After some thought I realized I should check the silhouette store, it would be way cheaper, I'd get it instantly, and I still had some stencil material I had purchased awhile back. This worked out perfect, I found a tree with branches that suited my needs and I tore them off the tree in my design studio and created my own stencil!
Materials used:

Kitty Bee Designs - Santa Christmas Penguin
Snow Marker
Gelly roll pen - gold
Wink of Stella - clear
Ranger - Tim Holtz Distress grit-paste
Lawn Fawn - Large stitched stackables
Various - sequins, seed beads, faux snow
Silhouette - old tree svg

Copics used:

Santa - 110, C7, C5, C3, C2, C0, R89, R29, R24, Y17, YR16
Background - B37, B16, Y13, 110

Black and Orange

There's a new challenge "black and orange" over at Kitty Bee Designs blog and Aurora Wings is the sponsor of this challenge! Today I've made a cute little Halloween treat box using Aurora wings child in kitty costume.

Unfortunately I've recently lost about 3/4 of my svg cuts due to a computer malfunction, and an error on my part ruining my back up drive! So today I had to put my drawing skills, which are incredibly unimpressive, to work!lol I had to draw out my little spider legs on the top and used enamel accents to give them little bodies, and I had to draw out my spider web! Lucky for me it wasn't anything too complicated!

Materials used:

Aurora Wings - Happy Halloween - child in kitty costume with pumpkin basket
Silhouette - cute snowman box svg
Black ribbon
Ranger - enamel accents black, orange
Wink of Stella - silver
Gelly roll pen- white, black, orange
Stickles - orange peel
Uni posca - orange

Copics used:

Skin - E04, E11, E00, E000, R20
Costume - R20, R11, 110, T10, T8, T6, T5, T3
Pumpkin -YR09, YR16, Y38
Candy - R29, B04, Y15, E07, RV02, E34, E27

Buttons!

Today starts a new challenge over at star stampz, and its all about buttons! For this challenge I took this adorable Goth Girl image and turned her into a get well soon card. I didn't want the card to be too heavy so I used a 1" punch and drew on the inside to make it look like buttons.

Materials used:

Star stampz - Goth Girl
Le buttons - mini buttons
Tim Holtz - Distress Markers

I used distress Markers scattered straw, pumice stone, black soot, ground espresso, gathered twigs, stormy sky, antique linen, candied apple, abandoned coral, mermaid lagoon, iced spruce, lucky clover, wilted violet to color her and the backgound in. On the clouds and frame I used a copic multi liner and C3, C2, C0.
